Thumbs up to the start of the school year, the return of the Law Weekly, and most importantly, the return of ANG. ANG: judging people, places and things in relative androgynous anonymity since 1948. BUT . . .
Thumbs down to ANG being moved to the Back Page this week. Since when do engagement congratulations take precedence over ANG’s condescension? Since never, that’s when.
Thumbs up to the huge number of emails the school sent regarding registration. Finally, the administration has gotten the point that ANG cannot function unless reminded of ANG’s responsibilities at least seven or eight times daily. (Sidenote: ANG still forgot to register.)
Thumbs down to the new “waitlist” system on LawReg. ANG hopes that the line of angry students outside Dean Bennett’s office has a limit of 10. Otherwise, ANG’s not waiting.
Thumbs down to the removal of the several parking meters in the D-2 lot. Perfect, solve the parking crisis by removing acceptable student parking spaces. Quick, in an attempt to improve something, someone made it worse; put ‘em in charge of LawReg!
Thumbs up to the 1L softball section who, despite a lack of uniforms, went all out and chose “neon” as their team color. Ahhhhh, the loud, super involved, colorful section. Everyone loves them, right?
Thumbs down to the increasing number of “no laptop” classes. With ANG’s rules of not picking Friday classes, classes with exams or papers, and now classes that ban laptops, ANG is left with 3 credits. God bless you, Hallmarks of Distinguished Advocacy. God bless you.
