11/10 - Emma Case ’28 as Jason Street from Friday Night Lights
Emma’s commitment to the bit was unparalleled, though her jersey could have also been used without duct tape given Joe Alt’s plethora of injuries. Regardless, she was the life of the party!
8/10 - Kelly Wu ’27 & Leah Lee ’27 as Panda Express and Jollibee
The creativity is impressive, but now this editor of the Law Weekly is hungry and does not have ready access to Panda Express and Jollibee nearby. Also, where is the chicken for the Jollibee? And is there a vegetarian option?
8/10 - Bradley Berklich ’27 and Lauren Anthony as Sam Neill and Laura Dern as Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler in Jurassic Park
The Law Weekly admires the practicality of using a coat and long-sleeve shirt on a cold night, but is disappointed by the worst lack of large dinosaurs since the end of the Cretaceous Period. (Size matters)
6.5/10 - William Lee ’27, Deven Pandya ’28, Erin Reilly ’28, Ojuswani Phogat ’28, Hamza Aziz ’28, and Haley Kwoun ’28
On the surface, the coordination of crayons is impressive, but the additional unrelated costuming and the lack of complete coneheadery is a tad disappointing. The Law Weekly is also confused as to how to pronounce the costume: is it “crayon,” “crayon,” “crayon,” or something else? Very confusing . . .
9/10 - Emily Green ’28 as an alien
The body paint took it to the next level to the point that the Law Weekly is no longer sure whether Emily went as an alien or if an alien has been going as Emily this whole time.
7.5/10 - Chris Begala ’27 & Darren Manion ’27 as Nicolas Maduro & FBI agent
Good and bad news: Chris wasn’t the only Maduro on the dance floor. Evan Flick ’27 was also ex-venezuelan-dictatoring it up. This is an excellent costume, but it wasn’t unique. Still, we’re glad to see Darren Manion as the federal agent that got him! ACAB, King!
7/10 - Lauren Johnson ’28 and Logan Hewlett ’28 as Tomb Raider and Tomb Radar
Amazing. Next year they should be Lara Croft and Laura Croft. They can put 2x as many butlers in the freezer!
Yikes/10 - Sarah Concepcion ’27 as Gollum
We likes it . . . we needs it. Our precious . . . we can’t lets the stupid, stupid people who haven’t seen Lord of the Rings get in the way of enjoying our precious. Wethinks a fish would be quite a tasty addition. Our precious . . .
-mol/10 - People who did not submit
Cowards!
